THE BERETTA M9A4 represents the latest evolution of the M9 pistol family. Built upon the field-proven M9A3,
which was designed to meet many of the US Army MHS (Modular Handgun System) program requirements, the new A4 introduces:
• Red-dot optic compatible slide assembly (backward
compatible with M9 family)
• Enhanced short reset Xtreme Trigger System with
DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating
• 18-round magazine (backward compatible with M9 family)
• Front slide serrations
• Aggressively textured 92X thin grips
The red-dot ready M9A4 features integral slide cuts to allow for the mounting of five optional optic plate styles (purchased separately) to accommodate the most popular RDO sights on
the market today. The pistol comes with optic plate slot covers installed.
These product updates complement the combat proven design for which the M9 family is famous. The Vertec-style frame with thin grip panels, front and backstrap checkering, beveled magazine well and 3-slot Picatinny rail provide an ergonomic and modular platform that fits the majority of hand sizes. Optional wraparound grips are included with each pistol for those desiring the fuller grip of the original M9 pistol. The M9A4 features dovetailed tritium night sights, easily replaceable to accommodate different sight systems. The pistol’s enhanced fire control system comes standard in the G, decocker-only, configuration befitting its combat heritage, but it is easily convertible to the F safety/decocker configuration with an optional conversion kit. An oversized magazine release button, threaded barrel (1/2-28tpi) with thread protector, and a wear resistant Flat Dark Earth finish completes the package.
Available configurations come with 10, 15 or the new 18-round magazine capacity to comply with local and state regulations. Three magazines are supplied with each pistol.
The M9A4 is proudly designed, manufactured and assembled at the Beretta USA facility in Gallatin, TN, where Beretta has been making the M9 pistols for the US Armed Forces.
